31) Pierce Quick | OT | Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.)
247Sports Composite: 0.9848, No. 31 Overall, No. 6 OT
Recruitment status: Committed to Alabama
Recruiting summary: A 6-foot-5, 281-pound offensive tackle out of Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, Ala., Quick committed to Alabama on April 22, 2017. He picked the Crimson Tide over fellow finalist Auburn. He holds 22 reported offers overall. His primary recruiter at Alabama was offensive line coach Brent Key. At The Opening Finals in Frisco, he posted a 5.14 40-yard dash, a 4.59 20-yard shuttle, a 28.4-inch vertical and a 38.5-foot Power Ball throw, giving him a SPARQ rating of 91.83.
247Sports Evaluation: Pierce Quick is still early in his development but his rapid progression has landed him on the edge of one of the top offensive line units in Alabama. Settling at right tackle, his 6-foot-5 frame and arm length enable him to play patient on the front side while his above-average feet allow him to slide and redirect with true edge rushers. Quick has enough power to bury opponents as a run blocker along with the fluidity to impact the second-level and/or screen game. As he continues to fill out and add strength, it won't be a surprise to see Quick play either tackle spot at the highest level thereafter. -- John Garcia, Jr.

247Sports Evaluation: Has been on the recruiting radar and competing against older, top-level competition since his freshman year. Experience will not be an issue. Footwork has always been good. He has the ability to move and slide his feet to get lateral and get to spots he needs to on the field and make blocks. He takes good angles and can get to the second level. Experienced in pass pro. Still needs to add weight and get stronger. He is not a kid that blows you away on the hoof. What makes him a top prospect are his athletic gifts and willingness to go out and compete. Listed as an offensive tackle, but guard is a strong possibility in college. - Allen Trieu

His primary recruiter at Wisconsin was tight ends coach Mickey Turner, while offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Joe Rudolph also assisted in his recruitment.
247Sports Evaluation: A blue-chip, national prospect level combination of frame and athleticism. Great fluidity and ability to bend for a kid of his height. Long arms, quickness and strength are all assets in pass protection. In the run game, his flexibility allows him to gain leverage advantages against shorter opponents. He can drive block while keeping his feet and his willingness to finish blocks and play with a mean streak improved greatly between his sophomore and junior seasons. We have not seen him face many other prospects of his ability level at camps or in-game, so how he handles a higher level of competition still remains to be seen. However, in terms of base physical ability, it would be difficult to build a much better left tackle prospect, and he took his game up as a junior. He is also noted as a hard worker in the weight room by his coaches. - Allen Trieu

247Sports Evaluation: Wright came a long way during his sophomore season, and his ceiling is incredibly high. He can be a cornerstone left tackle in college. He has length, athleticism, quick feet and he is explosive. Refining his technique is the key. He drives well in the running game, but he needs to be more precise with his hand placements. As he adds strength, he will be difficult to disengage from for the defensive player. He can get to the second level quickly. In pass protection, he moves his feet quickly to protect the outside. His length allows him to stem momentum of the rusher with an initial punch. He must continue to develop his kick step, but his feet are quick and he slides well so he is able to make up for that in high school. -- Brian Dohn

He relies on his size and natural strength to win many battles now, so he needs to improve his technique and his stamina. He plays hard when the whistle blows, but he can slow down as the play develops and as the game progresses. He moves very well for a lineman of his size and he can get up the field to make plays. He plays a lot of five-technique now, and he could play that in a 3-4 scheme on the next level, but he may have the most upside moving inside to defensive tackle. He can bull rush and use initial quickness to get into the backfield. As he develops he could be one of the best in his class.
